Aww, that’s sad. I’d take it but little long if a road trip.

What have you moved in to?

^^ It’s unfortunate that nearly half of that thread is hidden due to Skipper and Buzz no longer being here. Some funny banter, there.

Meh, he had a lot of chances. I just wish all of the good stuff wasn’t hidden, now.

For 2k I would rather keep it.
Back up, overflow car. You never know bro.
Maybe get more storefronts and hire a college kid to work it? Idk
Maybe use it to invest in a mobile car detailing biz and have a college kid/single parent/etc work it? It’s already set up for that kind of work.
I hated and regretted the moment I had to sign the title when I sold mine.
I should have kept it.
But to each their own bro.
I say, take the damn listing down and keep it!

I’m gonna miss this car, for sure. I think I’m mostly done with the grieving process though.

I just don’t have an actual need for this vehicle, or the time/energy to put into additional ventures. Trying to keep focused and simple. And It’s costing us $$ to insure, just sitting 99% of the time.

If my wife could drive it, I’d probably keep it. But it’s stick shift, so she’ll be getting an automatic toaster sometime in the not-too-distant future.

Then it’s the perfect starter car for her to finally learn stick on!

Lol, we’ve been down that road before (no pun intended). She has no interest and/or aptitude for the three pedal configuration :smirk:

Same experience with my wife. We decided we only needed one car (plus my work truck) and hers was older and in worse shape than my civic 5-speed. Well I thought we would just sell her car and I’d teach her to drive mine. WRONG! We sold both and got a jetta.

Don’t sell the Toaster.

Give her a proper send off, like she deserves.

Pack 'er full of fireworks and stick a knife thru the sunroof!

That should read “American Anti-theft Device.”

Or city slickers.

For me learning to drive my dad’s GMC was just like driving the tractor but with less gears and only one brake pedal. His driving lesson included pulling a horse trailer.

I love standard trucks.

My dad was always very anti-standard, citing as the reason that he’d driven them his whole life and was sick of it. As a result, i never learned and swore my next vehicle would be a standard. My first work truck made the dream come true. Ahhhhhh…it was so amazing. Totaled by a drunk and then i couldn’t find another one with a manual tranny. So now i have an automatic again. More suitable size-wise, but after experiencing a manual i get why they call automatics “slush-boxes.” :sob:

Haha, I hear you. Despite my earnest efforts to find an automatic for our new vehicle (for the benefit of my long-suffering wife) I can’t say that I was devestated when I found 4-Slice for more than $2k cheaper than any similar-aged auto xB.

I’ve personally only been burdened with owning one automatic vehicle, which was also my first and least favorite car.
