FD and low-e reactions

I forgot I had this video showing a really bad pane w/ low-e reaction to FD -

What you may be seeing is low e failure due to moisture from a failed seal in the window. When a window fails it will eventually get to the haze out or last phase of failure where roller marks, suction cup marks, rag marks and fingerprints become highly visable. The marks you are seeing will also appear on real old windows back when fabrication debris issues were not so abundant.

I bet this window is a PPG intercept type window with the grey putty (Desicated Polymeric Matrix) in the u channel spacer bar.

It’s not a PPG window Randy. I’ve seen the issue you describe. The difference is that w/ a blown seal you get fogging issues here. This window has no fogging issues.
