Fast Pole-Work...need help

Ill tell yopu what, Ive spoke to Dange and the guy is legit. Started off by trying to mess with him about his love for the Tucker a few months back and met him that way. I can assure you nothing but the best advice and nothing but know how from him

A casual passerby may or may not care about our methods. If I feel I look unprofessional to others then it would probably show. And Iā€™m not about to interview to find out.

I used to be pretty slow at poling. And I would always drip at the top. Sometimes so much that when I went back to detail the drips I knew would be there the drips were running down the glass really far. My problem was that I straight poled everything and even though I tried to feather at the top I still got those drips.

What has helped me tremendously is Matt Perryā€™s video with the ā€œfigure 7ā€. When you get that top part clear of water you really donā€™t need to pull from the top until the last pull (for me on the left side). I use this technique all the time now and it has improved my speed and need to detail the top part of the frame. Iā€™d suggest looking at his 2nd video he posted. Thanks Matt!

You know there are some simple techniques that can certainly help. And as Iā€™ve pretty much learned eveything myself from trail and error, ā€¦ and error, ā€¦ itā€™s really helpful to watch the videos that some of you post. You might be stumped by a continual problem that can be easily remedied by a change in technique. Iā€™m learning all the time here and I sincerely appreciate when expert cleaners take the time to post these videos.

And I do tap on the glass sometimes. Just be aware of where youā€™re tapping and how hard. Are you cleaning the windows of an office where people are on the phone or trying to conduct business right on the other side, ā€¦ or are you cleaning the windows that are in front of a bunch of grocery carts?? Common sense I think applies here.

Thanks Tomc,
I would have liked video help when I started WC in 2003, so that is why I put them out for helping others, and I have to admit they are fun to make. Even an employee of one of my customers had to get into the Video (ā€œRogerā€). By the way Roger made sure his wife saw the Video he was in, and she made him send us out to do their residence yesterday!
By the way I sometimes tap lightly also, it is quicker than bringing your pole down and toweling it off.
Here is the two videos I made so far, I recommend watching both as the one builds on the other.
Thanks and hope it helps you!

Dry Hands:

TSP can be harsh on certain peopleā€™s hands, those with dry skin and or a tendency for dermatitis

I put bag balm on my hands at the end of the day. Works great to restore them to their natural suppleness. Stuff works great!

That stuff does work great! I usually use it on new tattoos but it works great for reviving your dry window cleaning hands. My wife HATES the way it smells though. I have also had success just using plain old vaseline.

This is the method we use. Lightly tap or wipe before final pull. One wipe per window might slow you down, but doesnā€™t look unprofessional.

We like to put a bend at the end of our poles, same angle as unger pro-curve, it allows for more control of scrubbers and squeegees.

Great Videos!

Thank you!
