Ezpure not putting out 0 tds?

So I just got an ezpure caddy and I can’t figure out why but it doesn’t seem to be able to put out pure water. It’s putting out like between 15 and 20 tds which is not spot free at all on the windows. I’ve tried to use it once and had to redo almost every window minus a few that I could wipe spots from with a rag.

I’ve used other water fed poles before without an issue but this one seems off. I’ve checked online and follow what people seem to say works for them as far as getting it up and going. I’ll test the water and it’ll say zero. After about one minute I check again and it’ll be up at like 15 or so. It’s causing a lot of grief and at this point it’s not worth having. If anyone has some advise on this I would appreciate it. Thanks.

You might need to add a pre filter before the actual system, or change your di resin, maybe add di tank, after your system.

What’s your tds?

The tds before the system is roughly 250, which is low fee my area so I don’t know if this meter is reading right even. I’m just surprised as it’s literally a brand new system. Haven’t been able to get a single job done.

Hi @dan3

Daniel have you contacted the supplier who you bought the unit from, they should be willing to walk you through all the issues your currently having.

Yeah your tds isn’t bad at all, like wcs said try and contact the supplier.

how’s the inlet pressure?

I have the same setup and 250 TDS water. I had the exact same problem, 15 TDS after the DI. Turns out the DI canister MUST be upright or the water will channel and get by the resin. The rest of the filters can lay on their side if you wish. Hopefully this helps

Inlet pressure should be plenty.

Never thought to put them upright, but it’s worth a try, thanks for the tip. Hope it’ll work, have to wait for the morning to give it a try.

What’s the water flow rate gpm of waste water and pure water?

Does the water smell? We had an issue like this and the water had a bad smell, bad tank possibly.

Things can be wrong with any item.

Oh man the one guy I didn’t tag…

Sorry brother!

So I tried what jljones677 suggested and it appears to work. I’m going to head out to a job and give it a full try and will report back. I really appreciate all the help, you guys are awesome.

Those units are designed to work lying down. Occasionally an issue of channeling occurs. When you pop it out of the unit and rock the DI canister back and forth. The TDS should go back down.
