First time was about 1/4 oz per gallon with a small squirt of ecover. And had not good results
Second time after doing some reading was 1/2 oz EBC & maybe about the same ecover
LOVED it…Nice shine, did well on fingerprints, didnt drip off stickers on window ( like a few of u said in post),window frames look great too.
One of my guys used my bucket and noticed the non drip on window lettering right off the bat.
What are most guys measure per gallon ecover / ebc ?
From what i can see it looks like 1/4 oz per gallon & same or less on Ecover but prob will order some soon
I mix my glass gleam and ecover 3 to 1. I’d like to add even more ecover for more slip but then it wouldn’t perform like GG anymore would it? I may add some Ecover to my EBC mix but I’d rather not.
So back to the post with gg4…
In a 3 gallon bucket u are saying u had 3/4 oz of gg4 & 1/4 oz of ecover
Take that same 3 gallon bucket & just 3/4 oz of EBC ?? and was fine with storefronts / glide /etc…
Prob going to order some anyway maybe my first batch didnt put have enough
Not exactly. I mix my GG4 and Ecover together in a one gallon container. It’s 1/4 Ecover and the rest is Glass Gleam. To my 2 gallons of water in my bucket I add 1/2 oz of that mix. But the EBC seems to be OK for me without dish soap added.
For those who have used the soap, how is it on staying wet in direct sun. The main reason I use GG is because in the Texas heat in the middle of summer it’s about the only soap that will not dry almost instantly when you wet the glass. There are other soaps that I like better than GG like APC 100 or 120. They have a little more slip and a tad more suds, not too much, but they do not stay wet as long as GG. How does This new soap perform in this department?
Alex graciously sent me a sample.
I tried it a couple days this week and found it pretty good. The glide was decent, not great, and I was fine with low suds.
My employee used the remainder on Wednesday for a storefront route. I’m assuming he used it all day. But I haven’t got an opportunity yet to ask him what he thinks of it.
Personally I wouldn’t expect a positive review on a soap with low suds and just a little bit of glide from an employee. I think “they” like dawn and joy. LOL
BOOM! One house down, I’m liking EBC so far - it seems to have a little more slip than GG4 and shines nicely. It was humid and warm / slightly overcast. We didn’t do too much in direct sunlight, but the dry on glass time seemed decent or at least no worse than GG4 - but IMO the jury is still out on that part until I can hit something on a hot day in the direct sun.
Here is a pic that was sent to us yesterday from a contractor using his WFP on Solar Panels.
Brian V. of Kleen Sees Windows out of S. California - “Right side cleaned with the Glide… Other side dirty… just added a little EBC GLIDE to my WFP brush.”
The middle and top panel are dry…bottom panel was still damp at the time the pic was taken.
