EBC Window Cleaning Soap

Another example of your stellar customer service, you cost yourself $ at the suggestion of someone who doesn’t even buy his supplies at WCR. I wonder if jrac would do that for me? Doubt it. Back to my yoga, I can almost reach!:poop:

EBC is working on packaging the new soap in one quart bottles. So I guess it was a good idea after all.

Once I run out of my GG4 I will buy some. I have heard nothing but good things so far. Let me know if you try out the EBC soap Mike. Would like to hear what you think. Thanks man!

Chad: I just got a gallon of GG4. I’m in no hurry to try out EBC. When I finally do get some it won’t be a test because everybody I know will be talking about it. I haven’t heard ANYBODY comment on how long the windows stay clean. That would be a deal breaker for me.

Ok cool. I have almost a full gallon of GG4 to use. Once I finish that, I am sure we will have quite a bit of feedback on the EBC soap from our fellow window cleaners. Take care my friend.

Chad: Exactly.

Looks like an interesting blend of syn-dets! There are only five main players. Five syn-det families. Thousands of varieties of course. Certain families just don’t mix too well. That is why alcohol shows up in the MSDS. And EBC is a blend. The price of syn-dets can be rather high. For example. I was able to locate a price of about nine hundred bux for a 55 gallon drum of 70% active lauramine oxide. Shipping would probably be another fifty bux. So the price would come to about 18 to 20 per gallon. When I was introduced to product development 17 years ago I learned that the cost of manufacture should be multiplied by 4.5 to 6 to get the end retail cost. So 20 bux multiplied by 4.5 would result in a price of 90 bux per gallon. Any of you want to pay that? One easy way to reduce price would be to add more water. But that isn’t possible if it diminishes the effectiveness of the product too much. There are many other costs that I haven’t added in. You can see by all of this that coming out with a chemical product isn’t very easy to do.

Thank you all for your interest in GLIDE.

EBC GLIDE. What can I tell you about this soap?

EBC GLIDE was created, in part, directly from the overwhelming success of EBC Multi-purpose cleaner (EBC MPC), which was launched back in early 2012. In our run up of establishing EBC MPC as one of the “go to” soaps for the pressure washing contractor, we also knew that a secondary component of our soap blend (EBC MPC) offered some very unique characteristics relating to cleaning windows from a downstreaming or xjetting application.

In 2013, I began reaching out to window cleaning professionals to “pick their brain” about window cleaning soaps and what they need for not only a soap to be good but for a soap to be in a category of it’s own. Buzz words such as glide, slip, wetting, suds and drag were just a few of the “tag” words along with other ones that actually established the cornerstone of what EBC GLIDE is today. Obviously I cannot go into describing in detail the formula or blend of EBC GLIDE but I will say that based on the 7 months of beta testing and formula adjustments, we are confident that EBC GLIDE posses a unique balance of “stuff” in it that positioned us for our launch. As with any product launch, it will take some time for the soap to get out there and have the measurable impact that we are looking for. We we are in this for the long haul and look forward to working with window cleaning professionals world-wide. Today we are establishing our distributor network for EBC GLIDE, with WCR being one of our first distributors to carry it. Our infrastructure is solid with two production facilities currently meeting the demands of our EBC soap lines for our domestic and international distributors.

We (EBC) are actively involved with our distributors and the contractor community on a daily basis. Our distributors matter. Our contractors matter. We involve ourselves in the industry to the extent that we do not just want to hear what our product can do but more importantly where our product line can use some improvement in. This type of feedback is very important to us and we view it as a win-win for all involved.

When beta testing was well underway it was comforting to hear comments such as “your soap Carlos stands shoulder to shoulder with GG3 or GG4” or “EBC GLIDE cut through that kitchen grease on the window like no other”. We certainly wrestled with a few issues along with way regarding the formula where adjustments had to be made based on the feedback. However we worked through those “speed bumps” and positioned EBC GLIDE for our launch this past week with WCR

Moving forward we are excited to be working with WCR and obviously based on this thread we are eager to continue to receive continuous feedback from all that test, try or use GLIDE on a regular basis. Thanks for the interest everyone and we look forward to hearing more feedback from those that will be receiving samples from WCR.

Chris & Alex…I know I mentioned in a email but wanted to let the group here know that I will be out of pocket for about 8-10 days with our washing business but will make every effort to get to this BBS to check in and answer any questions. I will be reviewing more talking points from those that tested GLIDE for us and post them up here. In the meantime I trust each and everyone of you will have a great week!

Jay: If my idea was so crappy why in the world is Chris doing it? Also my comment to you wasn’t supposed to be taken literally. No yoga lessons necessary but a big attitude adjustment would be helpful for you. Good day Jay.

The pile of poop is what will happen when I can finally reach on your suggestion that I go f$&k myself.

The EBC may be nice…

Dr. Dange

Just busted open a second gallon to make more samples. If you have a processing order we can toss in a sample. If you need to place an order, great timing. Shoot us a text and ask for a sample to be included in your order.

We appreciate the interest fellas. Have a great weekend!

How many ounces per gallon of water for the EBC window cleaning solution?

Since JRC won’t be carrying EBC I’ll toss a sample in your next order Mike

Alex: Really, what’s the dilution ratio? The GG4 users think $50 a gallon is kinda pricey unless it goes a lot further than GG4 when it gets mixed in the bucket.

Ya. I guess they are not interested. Wonder why?

Or maybe the reverse!

More and more brands are moving away from them.

The directions call for 1/8 of a fluid ounce per gallon of water.

I can’t imagine, since Tony Evans – their BIGGEST fanboy (get it?) – thinks EBC is so great. Must not be an EBC problem. Maybe JRC is the issue.
