I see the advantage. Only time it may not work is on hot windows where the solution dries by the time you finish detailing…but im new…ill def try it

true, on hot sunny windows i squeegee first and detail after, some times i have to clean only 1/2 or 1/3 of the window at a time

1 thing i will prob learn quickly here in texas

These are seven bucks or so. This saves me so much laundry. I learned to squeegee ledges from a guy who was doing store Windows as I watched and he had a 24 inch Sorbo blade he would use on the glass and the ledge, griping about expensive rubber not lastng but a day. Well duh. I’ve been using that little 6 inch for a year and have yet to replace the rubber on it. Pushes slop off just fine.

Yeah a 6" is def on my list of things tonget

That was worth repeating. I rarely have to change the blade in my ledge squeegee, as well. But, I have plenty of used 24" blades to cut a new one from.

Same. I recycle all my 22’s for use in my 14. Use my 14 for sills. Idk how fast I use them and don’t have to carry anything extra

Chiming in on this old thread just for fun of later readers. For me, the key to a perfect window is those nasty little corners. So I may do a Tri-Wipe: Up/ Across/ Down. I will work to make the corners perfect. Have even slid my 1" blade out a little to nudge into the corner until clean. When I “Work a Window”, I tri-wipe the edges, then squeegee. For me this prevents bleeds and runs. I know those rubber seals love to bleed, so I eliminate that liquid first to solve the problem. Of course I use a towel for this. I use a lot of towels. I don’t care, their my towels. One thing I did learn is, I don’t use a microfiber to detail. Rough glass pulls lint off. I am new to microfiber. I do love it for wiping stuff, but am still learning the ins and outs of best uses for micro-fiber. Signing off. Have fun. Oh yeah, I make perfect windows. I fry the egg my way. :slightly_smiling_face:

I just couldn’t agree more. generally, thank you for your post, especially for:
