Custom BOAB

Chris, is there any hope they will be making pouches in the same material?

Iā€™m not totally sure yet about pricing. The durability appears to be pretty goodā€¦ Itā€™s interesting materialā€¦ It reminds me of a patch kit for a rubber raft.

I used my old tattered original green Unger BOAB last week a liked it much better than my new black Ninja boab, because the squeegees stayed in the boab because they didnā€™t catch my strip washer and get pulled out inadvertently. The original design was much better for standard size channels! I hope they bring it back.

I went shopping for the tile divider Jared recommended at HD and Lowes. It isnā€™t in the Tile area with tile separators itā€™s in the molding department. The one they have at HD is wrong itā€™s to small! The molding at Lowes is perfect. Thanks Jared!

I have used the old Unger BOAB for year, but just decided to try a Moerman BOAB and I think it is actually a better (more secure) fit for my stainless steel Ettore squeegees.

Does the Moerman BOAB ride nice and high on your hip like the Unger BOAB?

Yeah, it is actually higher because of a shorter connection to the belt.

Do you like how the squeegee sits in the side bucket better? You use Ettore squeegees, right?

moerman boab looks good , havnt tried one yet but looks promising

I saw a product review on YouTube and they mentioned that they have made a couple improvements over the Unger BOAB. No slot to hold my 1.5 inch safety razor though.

I used my Ninja BOAB yesterday with the modification. Very nice Jared. My squeegees did not get pulled out by my strip washer even once.

I really do not like my Ninja BOAB anymore. The slots for my squeegees are to big and my standard size squeegees jiggle around in the side bucket, a bit. No big deal. I can live with it but I feel that Unger was wrong when they eliminated the original green design and I think they should bring it back. Modifications should NOT be necessary. Kinda annoyed.

It seems to work great. Here it is:

Still using this JaredAl? Seems as a really good idea.
I havenā€™t Lowes here so have to figure out where I can find these.

Oh yeah, I couldnā€™t use the ninja without them. You should be able to find something similar at any home improvement store.

I guess theyā€™re plastic wall panel connectors.

But thanks for bringing this topic back up. Iā€™ve had this idea in my head for 3 years now (sheesh). Iā€™m hoping to start development this year since Iā€™m making some business changes. And after @luke3636 video on boabs, I think mine could be the perfect boab.

You should! Would be exciting.
Lukeā€™s video got me searching in old threads about boabs and mods.
Yesterday I ordered a toolpouch with clip to have in the razor slot, like you do.
My search for those dividers starts now!

How about a milled aluminum BOAB?
Iā€™d want brass but that might be a tad heavy.
Metal BOAB might get a tad noisy walking around with squeegees, too.
Geez this idea is sounding worse by the minute.
Why did I post?

Here is my idea. A modular boab. The tubes should be able to come on and off. different lengths to better accommodate longer and shorter length channels and offer deeper tubes for longer applicators. Also different shapes to accomodate different channels like the ninja or a standard squeegee. The boab itā€™s self should be plastic but where the channels slide in should be a metal lining to prevent the wear. The strap should be adjustable so it can ride high or low. Also offer it in a range of colors. I know this like a small thing but I know guys would like to match these with their own company colors.
