Contest Box at Local Figaros

Okay so the other week, i got a great idea to offer a contest at my local Figaros which is local owned and operated.
I order a couple acrylic boxes, and made a poster, went to figaros and met with the owner.

She has $16 worth of windows that took about 20 mins to get beautiful. I offered to clean them 3 more times for free if I could have my contest box in there all month… This is what it looks like. (Updates coming soon)

I dropped it off today, and while washing the windows I recieved 2 quotes (both now scheduled).

On top of that the Figaros owner came up to me at the end and had me go to her house and give a $400 quote also booked… ALready made $1200 and no one has even entered the contest…

Can’t wait to see it this halloween!

Opinions?

Mate this is a bloody brilliant idea.
I used to work for a phone sales company we did a sim lair thing, however we would use the applications as leads, so we would call each person to inform hem unfortunately they had not won the 1st prize however they won a minor prize which was a free phone(on a plan of course).
it would work the same for windows imo

Agree’d I even though about offer a few other HIDDEN incentives for others like you said… Hey this is Robert From squeak N’ Squeegee, I noticed you entered our contest at your local Figaros, unfortunately you didn’t win the first or second prizes. However You do get an extra 20% off if you book in the next 60 days.

The fact I already received 3 quotes/jobs was amazing lol!

If this pans out right, I will try it out at a few other local small businesses. Maybe even a car lot or something.

There are so many ways this can generate customers, if I get a slow down I will definitely think about something like this.
Make sure you have a place for email and make it mandatory so you then can connect every person who applies to your websites/facebook feed, then post the pics of the winner so everyone knows that your legit and now you also have all those potential customers already following you then you do the offering a special emailed out to those that entered like you said a discount of 10% or w/e.
While it is kinda old school, if your standing around waiting at a fast food place for your food, why not enter?

This has really got me thinking I gotta hurry running out of time before I gotta run to work.
So what I would do is to collect the entries weekly then email every person who entered thanking them for their entry and asking them in that email to confirm their entry by clicking a link on the email to like my facebook page, boom free follower.

That is EXACTLY what i am thinking. I have been that guy standing in line and was like, Damn at least have a contest box to keep me busy, lol. I bought generic entry forms that ask for even email address. I was thinking of the same thing to follow up with everyone. I can’t wait to see how well this turns out, today may have just been an added fluke/bonus.

I really like that idea, keep us posted on how it goes.

Here is a picture of the actual entry form

Nice brother!

Great idea, I’m not sure what a Figaros is, if you have high end hair salons or gyms that you service, maybe you could place a box there. It would give you higher end clients with disposable income.

Great idea keep us updated how it pans out for you.

Exactly my plan, go for higher end places, I want to try it at my Local Ace Hardware because the pocket book people love this place. But im a employee of 3 years and the Store Manager wants to keep my business COMPLETELY separate…

Figaro’s is a Local Pizza place, Well known around the west coast/Oregon area

Oh, it’ll be completely separate once you get so busy from it and you have to quit!!

Exactly, and they boast about how they support local businesses and what not. Which they do, but not me lol.

I used to work 60 hours there per week, now im at 30, soon to be even less.

So far 1 week in I have 3 business cards and 5 entry forms. I expected way more but the fact I already landed a $400 job and 8 entries is amazing. I got both on amazon. However the boxes pissed me off as I received 4 broken ones and only 1 perfect and 1 meh. It I was fully refunded and received an extra $25 and got to keep the good and meh ones.

I’ll keep y’all updated.

Brilliant sir! Do you have a Facebook or online link thru them or your own page that has a picture of this to get people to actually go down there as well? Good luck and I will be stealing this idea
