Carrying Equipment

OK so heres the deal I am looking for the best way to carry my tools. Im not talking once I am doing the job with a BOAB or something, Im talking to the job site and in the truck. I have been toying with a few things like rubbermaid tough bins, buckets, and even considered a tool box.

How do you guys carrying your stuff? Is everything together or everything separated by what it is? As always Pictures are the best help. Also feel free to describe how you carry on the job whether its res or com.
And if you wanna show off your belt that you use…go ahead
Thank You for all your input into helping me figure out how I wanna carry my gear!!!

We use a 3 drawer plastic cabinet for most of the loose stuff like this one only wider - Walmart.com: Sterilite 3-Drawer Unit, Light Platinum: Storage & Organization
I also use crates for chemicals like this - Rakuten: Shop. Get Cash Back. Repeat.

stop by my house and i will show you the right and only way to go my friend… you got my number, dont buy and of those cheap plastic drawers

For the most part, I utilize 6-gallon buckets.

Ladders and buckets in the bed of the truck. I have a tool box in the bed for dirty towels. In the tool box I have a few crates to separate the small stuff. clean towels on the back seat of the truck. I also have two rubbermaid bins that hold other tools I use everyday that I don’t want to go digging for in the bed toolbox. I mainly do Res work and drive a Ford f350 so the the back seat is pretty much a giant toolbox.

Keeping it simple Larry! That’s important.

I carry my different size squeegees, strip washers, boars hair brush, solution concentrate, angle adapter, zero degree handle, in a dual compartment rubber maid bucket.

My drop cloths, hand vac, small tools, rubbers, booties, bath towels, etc. all fit in a fairly large gym bag. It has the one big compartment plus 6 little compartments, with zippers, that make it easy to organize. I can carry everything I’ll need in a house in that bag over my shoulder. It stays zipped up so it has a very neat appearance and doesn’t invite kids to get into my stuff. So … if they want to take a swig of disolve it or play with my extra razor blades they would have to unzip compartments and really go looking for them. Just kidding.

I put my two 3gal solution buckets in a large rubbermaid bin so they won’t spill all over my carpeted van floor while I’m driving.

My 28 ft. sectional ladder fits inside the van.

I also utilize a milk crate as well for gear that never gets wet.<O:p</O:p

Im constantly trying to organize and make things easier inside the van. For all our squeegees we have a 5 panel grid thing that used to be part of one of those shelving units. The type that comes in squares that fit togther at the corners. So all the squeegee handles have their own little square to hang in. We have two big Ruubermaid bins, in one a short hose, the wcing bucket with our belts in it. Then we have the screen cleaning bucket with all that stuff in that. In the other bin we have all our cloths in a big laundry bag, the shop vac, drop cloth and other random tools.

Oh well I could go on forever! Theres so much crap in there. I’ll post a picture when I get back in the states.

heres the boot of my Fiat / bucket with radio, next to it fishing poles , then a green recycling bin i “acquired” when on the street in Colchester ,this holds my water containers .laid on top is my leather belt with b.o.a.b, solution sprayer& scraper

my triple ladder is stored just above my bucket on a thin wooden sledge

I’m thinking to get one like this:

What do you think? To transport tools from the car…

This is how we roll.

I used a 6 gallon rectangle bucket to carry equipment

I’ve did that before, but I want it to be a little more organised. That’s why I like a tool box with drawers.
But I haven’t got one yet.

Which tools will you be organizing in the draws?

How long is it?

Channels in one, rubbers in one.
In the top I can have handles and stuff.

I think it is like 47-48 cm long.

It’s going to get rusted real quick. Get a bucket organizer from home depot.

I prefer to stash tools in a way that can be easily loaded and unloaded in my truck bed. A series of 5gal buckets works great and is cheaper than a single metal tool box.
