Business Start Up!

I have been a sub for my uncles company for a while and I plan on starting my own. I was wondering if someone could help me out with what it takes to get my business up and running. I dont need to know how to advertise and such. I have lots of clients but I need help with what I need to do as far as legal stuff. Like Licensed, Insurance, Tax, and etc… Could someone please help me? Or at least suggest a book on window cleaning that would help me with this. I am 17 and just need help with the legal side of window cleaning.

Read ALL of the posts down at the bottom of the page, Go ahead and scroll down and pick one.

I would 100% ask your uncle. I don’t know where you live and what the specific regulations are and such.

If you’re working in the same area, he won’t disclose the secrets. The crazy thing, is that they are generally hidden here. Have fun! Work feels like play to me… It’s not bad man!

There is a link for Washington state in the thread link I posted.

I just opened a business account and got liability insurance. It’s not required as a sole-prop, so a license is just a badge as far as I’m concerned in my state.

Seems this issue is state governed.

Really…thats interesting.

I don’t know all of the specifics. I just want my bass coated in case something goes wrong. I don’t know any sole-props that have a specific license. Maybe my insurance company provides a license?

As you can see, business and legal work is not my forte.

It was the perfect day to take the day off. I accidentally drank some beers for sure, but I’m good…

I would check on that Lic’s part

Maybe @Streakerfree knows more about your state in regards to Licensing …

I here that its always good to be on point! Especially when its ice cold outside!

If it’s esoteric, I don’t buy it until I have to. I have no problems with licensing if necessary. I just don’t want to pay for something that doesn’t benefit anything.

Right Im just trying to help you to make sure your covered brother!
