Bigger Fish on the line

No not that fish. What would you guys bid this at? 68 Windows 2nd story and 46 at ground level. Relatively easy access all around but I don’t have or plan on a water fed pole. It’s probably been four years since the last cleaning and they really need scrubbed. Exterior only!

Congrats for being in the running for this job! I don’t have any bidding recs as I do not have experience with something comparable.

Are HWS on the lower windows common in your hot and dry environment?

Assuming hws means hard water spots? They have a trickle irrigation system, not sprayer heads as you can see they don’t do grass very much here and trickle saves water on just shrubs. I would quote hard water spots on a subsequent cleaning as they are so dirty you can’t tell what is what.

I did notice white streaks all down the glass on the second floor Windows. Seems like frames are oxidizing?

somewhere in the neighborhood of $600 plus a lift.

I wouldnt even think of using a lift, that’s just going to put your price higher than anybody else’s unless you’re not comfortable with the ladder.

Runoff from the building.

I as well have limited experience with these jobs so take my input for what it is. But if i was bidding on that here I would probably say $550.00 would be a competitive price. you could probably go a little higher since they are real dirty. Im interested what others would say since this is what my focus will be this year.

I think I’ll quote with a lift, How do you set a ladder on a wall of glass like that? Those frames are an inch wide and are flush. Might just be over my head.

Sell the idea of a lift so as to avoid damage to glass with a ladder…

Take into account that when you clean the 2nd level windows with the concrete surface underneath the water will be very dark and drip on that white surface. That’s a tough situation as there is zero window sill or ledge and you may have clean windows and have a very dirty building which will leave you with more issues.

$550.00-$600.00 for first time clean and $400.00-$500.00 quarterly.

I would ask the business or person asking for the quote if you can ladder up there and test a window. I bet a good bit of that will not come off with basic cleaning. I can’t count how many times in my 20 plus years I’ve seen those run-off stains that have set too long not come off with normal cleaning methods. I also almost bet that darker area at the bottom inch or 2 of the window for sure will not come off with normal methods. This way you can quote accordingly to what it is going to take to clean them and if restoration is needed I would think a lift would be needed.

Sounds like a nose to glass type of job.
Ladder with a ladder stabilizer on the black frames can get you there.
