I clean a lot of dealerships. Therr is at least 2 off the top of my head where they have to move the cars for me to do the insides. No othere way around it.

The frames are deep can’t use a ledger.

I’ll let ya know …lol :pray:t2: I would rather if be done before hours the less people there the better. So I will request all cars out the night before An see if I could get in early. Most of my deealrshios are done early . Have a feeling this one might not have someone there earlier then my other ones it’s not as big an operation.

Good tip… (shop vac)

That’s true… (when the floors get cleaned)

I hope it works out for you, and I could see how it would work. All my dealerships have the cars about 10ft away from the windows, so you have a problem that I dont.

Someone mentioned the tile and getting water in the cracks. Don’t forget the grout as well. Grout for flooring is often different from grout used in bathrooms, shower stalls and kitchen tops and backsplashes. It is designed to be water proof so the water doesn’t seep through and create moisture problems. Regular grouting is sand based and does not protect as well.

Check the grouting first if you decide to do it. At first I was all for it, but now I’m not so sure. Maybe the floor is just sealed concrete?

@Majestic66 You are one crazy dude! I don’t think I would try it, but you never know till you try. Let us know how it goes.

Spot ladder at 20 feet on flat ground?

People use ladders more that any other piece of equipment in many businesses. I don’t get why so many have that fear of DANGER. It’s like anything you do, use common sense and safe work practices. Ladders are a completely safe piece of equipment used by millions daily.

It’s not about being fearful it’s about being smart. That’s a slippery surface really no spot ? Common sense would be to have someone spotting
Most ladders accidents happen Becuse of slide outs

Ladders kicking out or slipping is the most rare cause for an accident, the spotter is keeping it from swaying side-to-side.

It is true to know your capabilities and if you’re unsure of something for sure don’t do it.

The spotter as you called it is the person who is footing the ladder and the primary role of this person is to stop exactly what you say its not for, kicking out sliding and any other movement.
When using a ladder correctly there will be no reason the ladder will ever sway from side to side, however polished tiled surfaces and alike the ladder has a high tendency to move from the base.

On a slippery surface

Be careful out there man . When ever I hear about a ladder fall it’s becuse they decided to set a ladder up on a slippery surface .
Cement , grass An the like fine , tile floor that’s a big no. For you guys working by yourself . What ya could do is get a non slip mat work off of that.

Whenever I hear about a ladder fall , An there has been a few. It’s cause the ladder slid out . The guy decided to set up on a slippery surface without a spotter. Serious man becarful

Don’t know where your getting this from, but ignore it.
If you think a ladder can’t slide out , you need to rethink this. It takes one time !!
I had a friend 9 months ago set up a ladder on cement , it slid out , An he broke his back.

I’m not making that up just to prove my point. My point doesn’t need proving !!

I was just talking to him yesterday. He doesn’t understand how it happened he said he has been in the sign business , an used ladders most his life he said ther must of been grease , or something on the bottom of the ladder.

But I don’t use a spotter on cement. I think that was just a freak accident, or he isn’t telling the truth An he was leaning

I used to use The Ladder Stopper inside a home with tile floor. I had to set up my extension ladder to clean 2 high up windows. I never worried about the ladder slipping while using it. I no longer clean that house so I gave it to a friend of mine that does painting.

@Majestic66 If I still had that Ladder Stopper, I would give it to you for free.
