So I think I’ve asked something like this before in a post but didn’t get any answers really. Think I just added it at the bottom of a post that was focused on a different topic.
Are there any ways to get storefronts passively? With residential you can put business cards in stores, door hangers, EDDM,etc. But what about for businesses? Any specific strategies you guys use? I couldn’t see a business owner going into a local store on a Sunday afternoon, seeing your business card and thinking, “I’d like them to come clean my business’ windows.” Actually I could maybe see that but I feel like people would mostly think about their homes not their business. Maybe I’m wrong though. I don’t own a business with an actual store so I don’t know enough about their mindset. Anyways couldn’t think of any ways myself so just checking to see if you guys had some.
@Jonathan31 let me make a suggestion on who to market to for storefront. Market to “appearance conscious” business such as hair salon’s, gyms, restaurants and business like that.
all the storefront jobs we’ve gotten in the last year-and-a-half since I stopped actively looking for them have been passive in the sense that they called us. The thing that helps with that is to be seen around town working and that we are the number one result on Google so when somebody realizes they need a window cleaner and they find us as the top result we usually get the job
Holy crap. What kind of gas stations are you cleaning?!? Only one I type of gas station I could think of that would go for that mix would be a QuikTrip
Its a Mapco. The Mapcos around here have lots of windows and they are clean so that tells me they are concerned with their image. I was pretty surprised though. It was my second try but this time I talked to the manager.
