Accident in Minnesota on Thursday

[FONT=“Georgia”]So far there is not a lot of information on this because it is so new, nor do we know who this is yet, but I thought I would pass it along…

One window cleaner died and another was seriously injured today in an accident in St. Louis Park, MN - a Twin Cities suburb. The Star Tribune story says they apparently fell 3 stories from scaffolding.

Just updated the blog - “Consider it done” window cleaning.

Either we are better connected w/ the internet so these accidents get more publicity or there seems to be an increase of them in the past year or two. :frowning:

Just a note - everyone keeps referring to the workers as being on scaffolding, when really they were using a roof rig descender like a MIO unit…you can see it in the video, plus no scaffolding to be seen. (just a clarification) I guess I didn’t look, but the building didn’t seem too high, wonder why they wouldn’t use WFP?? I don’t think you could pay me enough to dangle by a rope…
