A web developer starting a window cleaning business

Hi John or @windowcleaningxl

I own a Window Cleaning and Pressure Washing business just 15 minutes down the road from you. I am in Ajax, you are in Toronto.

My business is exactly 1 year old as of this Month. I would like to give you a bit of a challenge. Beat my traffic ranking in the .ca domain. Here are comparative screen shots of the traffic ranking of our sites:

You currently have no data or ranking, and I am in the top 68,000 of websites in Canada (nothing to be proud of, I know!). However, I am not a professional web developer, and made my site myself.

Wouldnā€™t it be a cool benchmark for you to beat my ranking and show what you can do?

Hey, not a bad website! Good job.

Challenge accepted then?

Anyone want to build me a website?:joy:

Iā€™m not the only one, and I donā€™t have a dog in the fight as I sold my web agency last month. You are more than welcome to reach out to the forum owners to inquire about becoming a vendor.

Just saying, this ainā€™t my first rodeo, and your post is probably about the 30th conversation of this sort Iā€™ve had, each one ending in someone trying to sell their design and / or SEO services. Maybe Iā€™m wrong, but it would be a first in scenario like this.

There is no further justification or clarification necessary. Enjoy the forum as a window cleaner.

Who really cares if he was selling something on the side? Most guys here arenā€™t going to buy services from someone who just shows up out of the blue anyway. As it is, much of the ā€˜adviceā€™ that new guys get here is so biased to support only certain vendors.

After Paul MacQuillan, the Legend of Doug etc it was decided that people couldnā€™t sell web services on the forum without permission. A lot of people got ripped off in those days.

I donā€™t get paid for modding this forum, its a labor of love. However, although I donā€™t do it much, when I have to actually moderate thereā€™s a reason behind it.
