22' or 26' little giant?

I’m just starting out and I want a good all around ladder that takes up minimal space. Would you guys recommend the 22’ or 26’ little giant ladder? I will probably not do anything much above 2 stories but do plan on doing gutter work though.

We started out with the 17’ ladder. Buy the stand-off too. We have the 22’ Werner giant and it’s clunky, heavy and difficult to use, at least for me. I find the 17’ giant and 24’ extension work best for us.

we have a four foot step ladder, a 13 foot little giant, a 17 foot gorilla, a 21 foot little giant and a 24-foot extension ladder we hardly ever use the 21 foot little giant. if it’s beyond the 17 foot gorilla ladder we go to the 24-foot extension unless that’s being used and someone else needs a larger ladder, then will bring out the 22 foot little giant. I would say a 17 foot and a 24-foot extension ladder.

The 22 will get you 99% of the window on a second floor . That 26 is a beast to carry

I have the 22’ and it’s perfect for 1-2 story work, fits perfectly in my truck bed as well. I will say that getting it fully extended is a bit of a job and any taller than that I would want to use an extension ladder. Make sure to get a stand-off! Best of luck man.

Thanks for the information guys. I’m torn between the 17’ and the 22’ now haha.
I will look into getting the standoff too.

Neither. My finger pincher sits in the carport. Too heavy, awkward, all around pita. Bought an 8 ft step and a 22 ft extension never touched it again. If your in Arizona ill give it to ya if you pick it up.

Oooh… what part of Arizona? Lol

The LG is good for setting up in stairwells and over window wells, otherwise it’s too awkward and heavy for a daily use ladder. Some of the knock-offs are much lighter.

Go big buddy. Might as well do 26 of your going to do multi purpose. More bang for your buck too. Remember the 26 can always go smaller for the job but a 22 may not be big enough for some.

There is a knockoff 17’ folder at Harbor Freight right now for $139. Having read this, I think I’ll get one. Found an old Warner 24 ft. at a garage sale for $50. It’s a 1A and needs new feet and “flippers.” That’s another 50, and it needs the rope, a ladder bar and ladder pads. Still cheaper than the gob they want now.

I have a 22’ Werner knock off and a 26’ Little Giant…the little giant is brand new and I only used it once this year…the 22’ is off the rack daily… The 26’ is super heavy compared to the werner 22’. The 26’ ended up being pretty much useless for what I do.
