2.5 story double panes

Yes!

It it was just one piece, I wouldn’t be asking how to clean it! Thatd be ezpz.

You can KINDA tell if you zoom in that there is a whole other pane on the inside.

Doesn’t sound like a good idea.

Veeeeeeeeery carefully.

Yeah those suckers are gonna be super heavy and hard to hold onto. And then to descend the ladder? I don’t think you should do it alone.

Get yourself a suction cup. Will help so much if carrying down solo.

Did you tell her you were posting a pic of her house to a world wide public forum full of unscrupulous competitors? Lol

Plus one. I would get two of these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01G48KSK8/ref=mp_s_a_1_2_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1501896133&sr=8-2&keywords=suction%2Bgrab%2Bhandle&th=1&psc=1

Set your ladder just above the top of the half moon, and stick a handle on either side, so that when you unclip the storm panel you can use both arms to carry it down. Your forearms and torso will be the “3rd point of contact” as you descend the ladder.

You could handle a pretty honkin’ sheet of glass using this method, if you’ve got a bit of strength.

Without a good suction cup, no way I would attempt to remove it, even with help.

Butter fingers can cost you much…

Speaking of these “great” windows builders put in, why don’t homeowners hang these builders by their giblets?

Had a client a couple weeks ago that the builder, put my (our) favorite Pella’s in, clear up in a 2.5 story home, and they were all crank out pella’s with storms. Who the hell is going to crank those out over the ground level? Three tiers high!

Wow and i always get mad when there’s a pointless double-hung up that high.

Sweet method, Alex! Definitely tucking that away for future use… Although i hope to never need it.

I think part of it is, someone is trying to save a few bucks someplace. Problem becomes, who is going to clean it later?

Great response Alex.

No one will know where this house is, who it belongs to, how to contact the owner.

No address is shown, no phone number shown, no nothing.

I think I’m good.

Thanks for the responses. I figured a suction cup or two were going to be necessary.

Even with suction cups, I bet another person to help would almost be required.

It’s Friday night. I need to run a little joke here and there to lighten up the week

Sooooo… That doesn’t mean the week is over, just saying.

Get a pair of these. These have been a life saver for me. If you have to get some help handing down the glass panels. I hope you have some terms and conditions about not responsible for damage to over size panels, or have a signed waiver before touching it!

One tool, or implement and a pair of good running shoes. Throw the brick, then run. done.

Tell me about it. Lol

As much as I’m a fan of getting professional tools, I would be remiss to not point out: the handles I posted are rated for 300lb. The “professional” model, only 125. And they’re more than 10x the cost…

I also prefer the redundancy of two cups per handle.
