100k a year only on the weekends?

If you being a new guy could do two $500 homes in one day and do a good job.
Then we will all need to learn from you! Please clean your own home and then have idea
of what your up against!

It’s not that it’s “unrealistic” in the sense that you couldn’t do it. I think it’s more unrealistic in the sense that I don’t think you understand what all goes into generating 100k a year cleaning Windows. The only way you would reach that goal is to have employees doing the work and you growing and managing it on the weekends and some week nights.

You would have to start out doing the work one day and selling and promoting the business the other day. Then hire one guy to work with you on that one day and then hire another guy and have him replace you. Once you have two guys you would need to to be working the two days to grow and manage things. You might still be able to do some field work yourself but it’s would be better to focus on the growth. Then it would come down to how much you could keep up with in terms of managing it two days a week.

To reach that goal (if we are talking gross sales) it would take having 2-3 guys working both days to complete the work. That depends on your pricing and equipment. Are you going to use a wfp etc. And how much are you going to charge per window which would determine how much one guy can produce each day in terms of revenue.

A couple of hurdles you will face is customers who don’t want people at their home on the weekend and getting in touch with people who are generally less accessible on the weekend. You will most likely have to make calls a couple night a week to communicate with customers and vendors. You may even have to make some calls during normal business hours Mon. - Friday. To deal with some vendors.

The only other issue would be not getting burned out. Working full time during the week and reaching your goal on the weekend would be difficult just in terms of the energy to keep up with it. Do you have a family?

Okay, I’ll be the bubble burster:

It is unrealistic as you have laid it out.
5 days a week on your regular job + 2 days a week, on weekends, in your new found venture = 7 days a week which would have to include two 10 hour days Saturday and Sunday (if you want to take a realistic approach) 52 weeks a year.

That would mean that each and every one of those 10 hour days of the weekend you would need to make $96.25 per hour…including travel time.

Now, realistically looking at the human ability of stamina vs sleep (recharging the body) you would soon learn to hate your life and everyone you encounter would feel that. Even predators take a break now and again.

Take it from one who sat at the edge of death once - it is not worth it - life is short - there is much more to life than digging a premature grave.

The dollar figure is realistic, the path you laid out is not.

Your only thinking in terms of him doing the work himself. He can hire employees to do the work and it makes the goal much more reasonable.

Okay, lets say the average “NEW BUSINESS” is a success or fail after the 5 to 7 year mark. (Most businesses show this success rate.) At that time he has 3 to 4 employees (arguably a minimum amount because they are working for someone else every single weekend and are not business partners) that do killer work and rake in $100,000 in two days. Still unrealistic in my view.

I agree. But not because I think $2000 every weekend is impossible. Because it defies logic to hold down a day job if your weekend business has such profit potential.

Anyine making $1000/day on the weekends would be insane to keep a weekday job that earns any less.

Anyone who already has a weekday job making $1000/day or more doesn’t need to be running a side business on the weekends.

I am one of those weekend only solo window cleaners. I have been doing it for about 4 years and have built up a good customer base. I have a full time job, a family, and even went to school full time for 2 of those years. Juggling everything was tough, but I have managed to get thru it. I do residential windows on Saturdays and Sundays and start at 8:00am and usually finish up by 2:00pm. I still get a good amount of time with family, although I do set aside a weekend a month for just family. I don’t get burned out, since I enjoy what I do as it is a great stress reliever for me compared to my full time job. I agree that 100k a year weekends only would be unrealistic. I do pretty good, but not that good. Your first year you may get a quarter of the way there, but that is with at least one decent house a weekend. If you have any questions please feel free to ask me, since I am in the same situation. Good Luck.

I think it would be hard to find employees that would want to work every Sat and Sun. I am assuming these employees would have weekday jobs. Maybe I am wrong.

I know owner/operators that make 80k - 100k a year cleaning windows. These guys work 5 days a week. Working 5 days a week I know you could get close to 100k a year. These guys have proven it is possible.

Keep us posted on what you decide to do.

As mentioned earlier, I think you would get burnt out working 5 days a week. Then running your window cleaning business on the weekend. I can remember when I was working 5 days a week. I got burnt out so fast because I was working a lot of long days. It takes a toll on your body. When I scaled back to a 4 day work week, things ran a lot smoother. A lot less stress!

I think it would be easy to find part time guys for the weekends. You would only need 2-3 employees to do the work. It’s only $1000.00 a day. That’s each guy doing $333.00a day. They would be done by 2:00.

It can absolutely be done. I’m with Samuel though. Why would you want to do it? It makes no sense because once you hit a certain point in gross revenue your going to make way more money quiting your week job and focusing full time on the business.

To me it’s not the best goal to shoot for. There are better goals that have a greater return that are easier to achieve…

Wait a minute! Are you on a convict who has weekend release passes??! Then it makes complete sense!

Not a hater i just dont like bullshitters😂

well your entitled to your opinion but it sounds like your a keith hater and like you have not listened to many of his vids. he doesn’t make wild outrages claims, rather far more realistic than most.
also considering he is known and respected by at least 2 of the most people on this forum those being @Send_Jim and @Chris i think my own opinion that is a reasonably succedful and highly motivational person is safe.
cheers
